We will go to the nice restaurant “Qooqqut Nuan”, that is located at and old norse colonial area deep in the fiord.
On the way there, we will stop to catch the fish, that we are going to eat at the restaurant. It is also possible to order something else, but what is more Greenlandic, than eating your own catch of the day.
Get in contact with your original inuit and feel what the locals feel when harvesting what the Mother of the Sea offers you.
* The fee for the cooking of the food is paid at the restaurant. Our price do NOT include food or drinks.

We will start the tour from the Old Colonial harbour of Nuuk where we also have our office.
We will head into the fiord to the best fishing grounds nearby, in our open Poca boat. Your captain is also you tourguide on this excursion.
You must come to the office at the Old Colonial harbour 15 minutes prior to your tour.
If you are going on an adventure/excurtion, then it is highly recommended to bring both camera and binoculars. It is also advisable to bring warm clothes. On this boat there is no cabin, so prepare and bring clothes that keep you warm. A neck warmer and glowes is always good

This experience is a very unique way of following in the footsteps of the Inuits of Greenland. You will be instructed by a local guide, that will learn you the basic skills required to handle a kayak. Itinerary

You will meet your local guide at our office and after greeting you, he will start by introducing you to the kayaks.
You will also get a short introduction to the history of the kayaks. Once we are ready, you will be getting dressed up in our drysuits, so you will be ready to go in the water.
You should keep some clothes on under the suit – we have many sizes, and the guide will find your suit for you.
When everyone is ready, we will find our kayaks and the equipment we need and we will get to the beach. Here you will start by sitting in the kayaks on shallow water for your safety. The guide will be at your side all the time for you to feel safe.
When everyone is feeling comfortable and safe, we will start paddling out on the water and see what we might encounter – maybe an iceberg will be close.
At the end of the session, you will receive a certificate that shows you passed our Kayak School

Itinerary

Get on the boat at the Old Colonial Harbour and join us for a day of splashing fun.
We will sail to the icefiord, near the area Kangiussaq. The boatride there is appx 1.5 hour. This is where we will get in the kayaks - The guide will join you and the Captain of the boat will follow you slowly in the background for your safety.

You will cruise among the beautiful icebergs, and the peace and tranquility will get under your skin. It is possible that we might encounter animal wildlife as well as the icebergs.

After the cruising you will get back on the boat for a well-deserved lunch, before you start the boatride back to Nuuk.
